During the forum, Tenaza discussed the many problems affecting the prostate as well as the three types of prostate ailment-benign prostate hyperplasia, prostatis and prostate cancer.
Prostate is a part of a man’s body found in the pelvis, under the urinary bladder and in front of the rectum, surrounding part of the urethra.
He pointed out that prostate cancer rarely have symptoms during early stages. Symptoms like bone pain, weight loss, paleness, and changes in bowel habits, among others, are signs and symptoms that the cancer is already in its terminal stage.
According to the results from the Metro Cebu Population-based Cancer Registry of RAFI-EJACC, it showed that 441 men were diagnosed of prostate cancer as of 2008-2012 as compared to the 372 men diagnosed from 2003-2007.
