Other notable deaths:
Osha: She was like a mother to Rickon. And just like Rickon’s mother Catelyn, Osha died from a knife. Alliser Thorne and Olly: Alliser Thorne, Olly and a handful of other men stabbed Jon Snow to death at the end of season five. In season six, a resurrected Jon killed both characters and their cohorts—not out of revenge, but as a matter of duty. Nobody kills the lord commander.
Brother Lancel Lannister: He should’ve stuck with Cersei, whom he had an affair with in the earlier seasons. At least he had a dramatic death by trying to save the Sept.
Wun Weg Wun Dar Wun: He died helping Jon Snow and Sansa Stark reclaim Winterfell.
Doran Martell: He had the honor of being the first person killed in season six. Roose Bolton: Stabbed by his son Ramsay Bolton. Walda Frey and her infant son: Ramsay Bolton fed his stepmother and half-brother to his hounds.
The Waif: Serves her right for maltreating one of the most favored characters from the show and the books—Arya.
Grand Maester Pycelle: It’s actually quite a surprise he lasted six seasons.
Kevan Lannister: Tywin Lannister’s brother died in the Sept, too.
The Blackfish: TV fans didn’t know him enough to root for him. But fans of the book can still root for him possibly reuniting with his sister Catelyn, who was resurrected as Lady Stoneheart, in George R.R. Martin’s upcoming book. Three-Eyed Raven: Killed by Bran’s stupidity and curiousity. Leaf: Poor, Leaf. She died saving Bran.
Trystane Martell: He didn’t need to be alive since his fiancee Myrcella Baratheon died during the finale of season five. Areo Hotah: He died defending the Prince of Dorne Doran Martell.
