Man accused of raping GF nabbed

A 26-YEAR-OLD woman arrested her boyfriend through a citizen’s arrest for allegedly raping her on White Road, Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City last Tuesday morning.

According to PO2 Aiza Nacario of the Pardo Police Station Women’s Desk, Jane (real name withheld) was invited by her boyfriend, Albert Muhillo, 31, to his shanty.

“Based sa storya sa biktima, pagka kadlawon sa Dominggo gipugos siya nga muadto sila sa ilang gipuyan sa laki. Niana ang laki nga ‘duha raba ming makig-sex nimo’ (According to the victim, she was forced last Sunday dawn by her boyfriend to go to his shanty. Her boyfriend then said ‘there are two of us who will have sex with you’),” Nacario said.

Jeson Campos, 19, Muhillo’s co-worker, was sleeping inside the shanty when her boyfriend brought her there.

Jane said she pleaded with Muhillo to bring her home, but the latter instead dragged her inside the shanty.

Jane said she tried to fight her way out but Muhillo proved to be stronger than her, and succeeded in raping her.

After raping Jane, Muhil- lo allegedly woke Campos up who then took over in violating the woman.

Agreement

“Mao gud kuno na ilang sabot nga ang katong uyab pud sa iyang kauban, gihilabtan pud na niya. Mura’g share-share sila’g uyab (That’s really their agreement that they will share girlfriends in bed),” Nacario said.

Muhillo, in an interview with Sun.star Cebu, denied the allegations. He said that they have been in a relationship for a month now.

He said it was not a case of rape because Jane reportedly consented to it.

“Uyab man mi. Siya man ang namugos og adto sa amoa. Nakainom pud ko ato (We’re a couple. She was the one who insisted to come into my place. I was also under the influence of alcohol),” he said.

Muhillo, however, asked for forgiveness when Jane, together with a team of police, arrested him.

Jane did not forgive her boyfriend and Campos, and decided to file a rape complaint against them.

The suspects are detained at the Pardo Police Station detention cell while waiting for the complaint to be filed against them.
