With iconic songs from the ‘90s and a strong boy-band presence that many fell in love with, Christian Ingebrigsten, Ben Adams and Mark Read of A1 were more than happy to grace Cebu once again with their presence and talent as they preformed at the IEC Pavilion to an enthusiastic crowd yesterday.

And just like their concert in Manila, it was a night of loud cheers and screams, singalongs, excellent dancing from the trio, along with a promise to have more intimate sessions in Cebu.

After splitting back in 2002, the trio went off to do different solo projects, focusing on honing their musical careers and talents, becoming better musicians along the way.

The British-Norwegian pop band was formed in 1998. Back then, they were a quartet along with Paul Marazzi.

Come 2009, the opportunity to come back together—as a trio—was presented, and the three were more than happy to reform. Since then, in between their solo projects, the boys have been on a whirlwind of international tours.

But it wasn’t the boys’ first time in Cebu. In fact, the trio has been to Cebu four times already. Their last visit was in November 2012. Each time they visit, the fans always gather in droves.

“Our fans are one of the main reasons we got back together. People kept asking for us to come back together,” Ingebrigsten said during the press conference.

Fans noted the trio’s camaraderie and goofy persona.

With the new year just around the corner, the boys hinted at plans to write songs together for the upcoming year, with new albums and new singles a possibility in the future.
