A PRODUCTIVE SPACE

- BY MONICA R. LOPEZ

Tucked in F. Ramos St., Cebu City is a place called Workplace Café. Owned by Kristoff Villanueva, this is a space where people can enjoy good coffee in a great working space topped with quality customer service.

This is where students, professionals or simply coffee enthusiasts in search of a working space are welcome. Open since early November, it more than just provides a homey, coffee shop experience with a touch of industrial-like trimmings as it promises its patrons a wide range of amenities for productivity and efficiency.

With its list of rates, customers can choose to pay by the hour, day, week or month; whichever they choose comes with free-flowing coffee or iced tea, ample and convenient sockets and internet connections. The weekly and monthly rates come with free locker use.

The two-storey hub can accommodate as many as 60 people and also comes with a conference room which can house at least eight people or so, a meeting room with a six-person capacity as well as a power nap station; all located on the second floor. It offers a great selection of food and drinks to choose from but patrons are free to bring their own snacks as well.

The café not only prides itself in providing a co-working space, but also as a place that supports local farmers by sourcing products locally such as the tablea from Argao, Cebu and the Hineleban coffee from Bukidnon which Kristoff shared that in every bag one buys, a tree is planted by a farmer in Bukidnon.

Workplace Café is open from Mondays to Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 2 a.m. (CONTRIBUTED FOTOS)
