A GUNMAN who disguised himself as a woman killed a jeepney barker and wounded two others in Barangay Pajo during the feast day in LapuLapu City last Monday.

Christian Salacao died after he suffered gunshot wounds in his nape, at back of his right ear and in his right temple.

PO2 Dan Gacoscosim of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office Homicide Section said that Salacao was walking on a narrow street from the highway on his way home to Sitio New Paradise when the suspect stopped and shot him at 6:30 p.m.

The gunman was wearing a red dress and a wig.

Salacao, who was of legal age, ran after he was shot, but the assailant chased him.

When the victim fell to the ground, the assailant shot him repeatedly, killing him.

Juditha Tumulak, a city hall employee, and Melody Padillo, a mall worker, were hit by stray bullets.

Tumulak, 54, a city hall employee, suffered two gunshot wounds in his left thigh and another one in her right leg.

Padillo, 20, who hails from Getafe in Bohol, was also hit in her left arm.

The wounded victims, who were residents in the area, were immediately brought to the hospital.

The gunman immediately fled after committing the crime.

Police recovered three empty shells, three bullets and a slug of a .45 pistol from the crime scene.

Salacao’s body was brought to a funeral parlor.

According to the po- lice investigation, Hermenia Maglasang, 64, a resident in the area, said Salacao was just working as a dispatcher and did not steal things in their area, despite the information that he used illegal drugs.

Danny Enriquez, 48, another resident in the sitio, said Salacao had no enemies in their area except that he had an argument with a jeepney driver last Sunday, which could be the possible cause of the shooting.

Authorities are still investigating the case.
