Remember when and reunions
When Dec. 4 rolls by, the grounds of the Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion-Cebu (CIC-Cebu) will ruggedly transform into cowboy territory with the theme Wild West State Fair with food booths and rodeo accents galore.
CIC-Cebu Alumni Association president and golden jubilarian Marieles Herrera has seen to the last detail that this 136th Annual Homecoming will start with a big bang! Joining them are members of the CIC Night High School Alumni Association.
Photos here show the different Jubilarian classes that will celebrate and entertain! Below is the schedule of events:
Registration is at 1 p.m., followed by Holy Mass at 3 p.m. Delicious Spanish “postre” Churros con Chocolate will be served at 4:30 p.m. To culminate a festive event is a program, dinner, raffles and of course...dancing!
Come one, come all! Jubilarians have invited their families to be part of this grand event. Tickets are at P600, as this is also a fund-raising activity for the CIC Night High School K-12 classes.
For more information please call (032) 232-9787 or Marieles Herrera at telephone number (032) 417-4210.
*** Reunion time came when Angel Society of Cebu chaplain Rev. Fr. Eusebius dropped by Cebu on his regular visits. Zambales-based Fr. E. was campaigning for devotion to the holy angels, when we caught up with him at Holy Mass at the Carmelite Convent. Balik-balik, Father!
*** Famous Cebuana-American fiction writer/author Cecilia “Baby” ManguerraBrainard, who jets home twice a year from her California abode, was in town once more and contacted sis-in-law Terry and buddies Chona and this writer, this time for a native lechon dinner. It will be Sinulog season when she gets back!
