SC denies leakage of 2016 Bar Exam questionaires
MANILA—The Supreme Court (SC) has denied social media rumors claiming that the questions for the 2016 Bar Examinations have leaked.
SC spokesman Theodore Te said Associate Justice Presbitero Velasco Jr., the chairperson of the 2016 Bar Examinations, assures the public that there was no leakage.
This was after allegations circulated on social media that the questions for the Commercial Law and Criminal Law exams, both scheduled on the third Sunday of November had leaked before the examination date.
Te said that the Office of the Bar Chairperson after an investigation concluded that the questions in both exams had remained confidential.
“The findings show that there is no truth to any of these unsubstantiated social media rumors,” Te said.
According to Te, Velasco said the rumors only undermine the efforts of this year’s bar exams committee to protect the confidentility of the exams.
“There is no iota of truth to these statements. These unfounded reports that are being irresponsibly circulated in social media only undermine the efforts of the Bar chairperson to safeguard the confidentiality and the integrity of the Bar Exams,” he said.
The SC told the bar candidates that the Examinations in Commercial and Criminal Law will not be cancelled or readministered.
