ArthaLand recognized by national and international bodies for design, quality, and sustainability
The country’s green developer builds world class, sustainable, and future-proof projects in the residential, office, and retail segments. All of its projects go through rigid standards set by the Philippine Green Building Council and the United States Gre
When ArthaLand launched its first project in 2009, only a handful knew of this boutique developer. Today, the ArthaLand brand has become synonymous with sustainable developments here in the Philippines and across the South East Asian region.
When the company started to campaign for sustainable living back then, the idea seemed not too common for most Filipinos. It was thought then that to go green, one needed to be a die-hard tree hugger, living a rustic way of life so as not to hurt the planet. Some also thought that going green needed to be very expensive, relying only on solar power, and using rocket-science technology to work.
Some even thought that only by having green garden patches, one is already living sustainably.
ArthaLand debunked these ideas and helped educate the market to accept that green living is a must, and doing so needs careful planning, design, implementation, and management. A green lifestyle can easily be done with the right partner who understands what it really needs to be truly green.
With its projects, ArthaLand has been able to demonstrate that through calibrated measures of green development, we can optimize the benefits of living sustainably.
Green projects
ArthaLand’s flagship residential project is Arya Residences in Bonifacio Global City. This two tower toptier condominium development is the first and only in the Philippines to be awarded by the United States Green Building Council’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program with a Gold certification. It is also on target to achieve multiple stars from the Philippine Green Building Council’s Building BERDE (Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence) rating system.
Its premier office project, ArthaLand Century Pacific Tower, is rising along 5th Avenue at the corners of 30th Street and 4th Avenue, also in Bonifacio Global City. Similar to Arya Residences, the premium grade office tower goes through the stringent measures of LEED and BERDE. In fact, the project is already LEED Gold pre-certified. Once completed, it will be the home to the headquarters of multinational companies in the financial, pharmaceutical, FMCG, and IT and Knowledge Process Outsourcing industries.
Further expanding its reach, ArthaLand recently launched Cebu Exchange as its first foray in the rich Visayas and Mindanao markets. Completely imbibing the developer’s corporate DNA, Cebu Exchange is the first and only BPOdesigned office tower in Cebu that is on target to achieve dual green building certification from the USGBC LEED and the PHILGBC BERDE programs.
Calibrated green
To ensure that the high standards of green building are followed and implemented, all of ArthaLand’s projects go through the rigid standards set by the Philippine Green Building Council’s Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence (BERDE) program as well as the globally recognized Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program of the United States Green Building Council.
LEED recognizes best-in-class strategies and practices on care for the environment. To be certified, building projects need to satisfy prerequisites and earn points based on intelligent selection of the building location, water and energy usage efficiency, responsible use of materials and resources, and indoor environmental quality.
In the country, the Philippine Green Building Council monitors and calibrates developments that are registered under its BERDE program.
BERDE is the national voluntary green building rating system in the Philippines that is used to measure, verify, and monitor the environmental performance of buildings that exceeds existing national mandatory regulations and standards. According to PHILGBC, it employs consensusdriven, multi-stakeholder collaboration process in order to determine the high standard of evaluating and certifying buildings as truly green and sustainable.
