UV looks to bounce back

- RCM

Coming off a frustrating loss from the hands of the defending champions Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHSAdC) Magis Eagles, the University of the Visayas (UV) Baby Lancers are looking to vent their anger on the equally-tough Cebu Eastern College (CEC) Dragons in the resumption of the SM-NBTC Cebu City Division Leg at the SHS-AdC new Campus Gym in Canduman, this morning.

Last Saturday, UV lost to the Magis Eagles 44-64, its first loss in three games.

Now, UV's Jancork Cabahug and company are looking for redemption that would put them back at the solo lead in Group B.

Both UV and CEC sport a 2-1 win-loss card, however, UV belongs to Group B, while CEC is currently the No.2 in Group A, behind the still unbeaten SHSAdC who has a 3-0 card.

In the elimination round, teams from the same group will play against the teams from the other group thus to maximize its exposure.

UV is currently sharing the top spot in Group B with the University of San Carlos (USC) Baby Warriors, who also sport a 2-1 card.

USC however is slated to play the Magis Eagles in the main game at 11 a.m., while the UV-CEC match is at 9:30 a.m.

The curtain raiser game is between Group A's Southwestern University Baby Cobras (1-2) against Group B's University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Baby Jaguars (1-2) at 8 am.

The other teams who are coming are the Don Bosco Technology Center-Cebu Greywolves (1-3) and the University of Southern Philippines Foundation Baby Jaguars (1-3), who both finished their elimination round campaigns. /
