A fine idea

-

Over the holidays, many of us attended or hosted gatherings for family and friends at home. These are the times when we bring out the special tableware that we tend to reserve more for guests than for ourselves.

Seeing how their own families and friends love to entertain, Izeiah and Mineliza Lim introduced their new line of porcelain tableware during the intimate launch of Grandeur Fine Gifts. The couple made exclusive the main dining area of Circa 1900, which could not have been a more perfect venue for the sophisticated, nostalgic feel of the fine tableware.

A full tea party was in swing with flowers, tea pots and tea cups as centerpieces on all the tables. A display and photo opportunity area was set up with wicker chairs. There were dozens of cupcakes decorated with roses and ribbons on cake stands and serving carts. Cake pops and more flowers sat on little tables, all of course complementing different designs of tea pots, cups and saucers by Grandeur Fine Gifts. It was such a pretty and girly affair, with most of us ladies dressing up for the occasion in floral dresses and full skirts. Upon arrival, we even got to choose from a selection of tiny hats and fascinators that most attendees gamely wore through the whole event.

During the casual get-together, Izeiah and Mini, as she is called among some friends including our badminton group, shared their story behind Grandeur Fine Gifts. They got married last July, and received a number of porcelain sets as wedding gifts. They became so enamored by these that the couple started researching on porcelain, and very soon they found a manufacturing company that has been making bone china for a decade. Partnering with this company, the couple came up with their own line of bone china, which is a type of porcelain that is favored for its whiteness and translucency.

Although the pieces are delicate, Grandeur Fine Gifts' coffee and tea sets and dinner sets have higher mechanical strength and are chip resistant. They're even microwave safe and dishwasher safe. These all come beautifully boxed to make great gifts, either to give or to keep, because who doesn't want meals to be a little more special even when there's no occasion? Customers can purchase in the showroom or place an order for shipment, with 0% interest available for some sets. There are 80 designs in total for the tea sets and dinnerware sets, ranging from just a paired cup and saucer to a full dinner service for 10, and new designs will be released this year.

Congratulations on this venture, Mini and Izeiah! Wishing you many years together as happy and successful life partners and business partners.
