Love, as this rush of emotions, is capable of many things which include bringing the best out of people. This is often the reason for the many beautiful creative outputs which stem from the feeling of being in love. Some masterpieces were created while their authors were drunk with the idea of love.

July 16, 2013 was when love manifested itself on the stage of Pagcor where during the announcement of the grand winners of its first ever national photography competition, one of the grand winners proposed on stage to his girlfriend. This bravery was exhibited by Robo Formacion, who flew to Parañaque City from Cebu City with much pride, as he brought his girlfriend not only to witness the awarding but also to propose to her. Little did he know that aside from winning the competition, he would also win the heart of his girlfriend for eight years then. The couple were in tears as they both agreed to spend the rest of their lives together.

Three years have passed since the remarkable proposal that has sent waves through the internet. Looking now into their married life, Robo and his wife Caroline continue to spread their love through capturing moments of those who have much love within them to share. Sharing the overflowing passion for photography, the two of them have teamed up and decided to paint the town red. The lovebirds then created Red Media Cebu, a photography studio which will be turning a year old by April.

“We were classmates in Anat- omy first semester, second year college in Cebu Institute of Technoloy, College of Nursing. Both of us are registered nurses,” said Caroline when asked about how the two of them crossed paths.

They are now on the second year of their marriage with two beautiful daughters, but they have been together for 11 years already since second year college.

“My husband, Robo Formacion, started as a wedding and portrait photographer. He has been doing photography for six years already since 2010. With his knowledge, skills and experience, I wanted to give graduation photos a touch of simple yet elegant portraits like what he does best with his clients,” shared Caroline.

Like many great artists, drunk in the idea of love they now continue to capture love in its most wonderful forms that is shown through the photographs they take. The couple has created their studio on the first floor of the building while the second floor was renovated as their home so that while they work they still get to be with their daughters.

“Photos, like love, have the capacity to bring out and capture the best in people. When handled carefully, they continue to inspire, they stay whole, they endure,” said Robo.

Photographs speak of a thousand words and when everything else is lost and gone, photos stay as the remnants of the hundreds of memories that cannot be bottled up. Capturing love through its manifestations in wonderful smiling families, couples, siblings and friends make photographs even more beautiful in their own special way.
