Dragons, Bulldogs stay clean in USC NABC caging

The 1993 Dragons and the 1994 Bulldogs both stayed unbeaten and at the top of Division 1 of the University of San Carlos (USC) NABC Summer League 2 Powered by Common Ground following wins over the weekend at the USC North Campus Gym.

The Dragons racked up back-toback victories over the weekend to stay at the top with the Bulldogs, which won a game.

The Dragons clobbered the 1986 Waveriders, 59-42, led by Jade Ylanan and Bong Eleazar with a combined 24 points. Ylanan scored 14 along with four assists and two steals, while Eleazar added 10 points, grabbed seven rebounds and swatted four shots.

Ylanan and Eleazar continued where they left and led the Dragons to a 71-68 win over the 1988 Barako.

Ylanan had 20 points and eight assists, while Eleazar logged a triple-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists along with two blocks.

The Bulldogs, in the meantime, crushed 1987 Bro, 61-42.

Oliver Faciol scored 11 points along with two steals for the Bulldogs, while James Lu added 10 points, four rebounds and five steals.

Both the Dragons and the Bulldogs are at the top of Division 1 with identical 5-0 slates.

In other Division 1 games, the 1982 Dominique Classics crushed the 1987 Waveriders, 65-39; while the 1985 Legends squeaked past the 9184 Knights, 56-53.

In the Division 2, the 1997 Ronins thrashed the 1996 Chubbies, 75-45; 2001 Lite Shipping beat 1998 Sipat, 53-49; the 1999ers defeated the 2000 Millennium Bugs, 46-35.

In the Division 3, the 2010 Pioneers won against the 2008 Flyboys, 95-88; the 2015 Assassins outclassed 2007 Waysbus, 65-43; and the 2004 Rebels put on a 4729 beating of the 2003 Stallions. /
