RADISSON BLU HOSTS GRAND WEDDING FAIR
Marriage. The union of two souls is an occasion that’s meaningful and must be celebrated as it is as sacred as the union it represents. Being grandiose is not the only thing hoped for but weddings must be celebrated in the most memorable way. Knowing how important it is to celebrate weddings and making it memorable for people who have had their fair share of hardships looking for that person to spend the rest of their lives with, Radisson Blu Cebu made it a priority to step up its game in hosting wedding receptions and held its signature bridal fair last June 10-11 with outstanding, never-seen-before gowns and suits designed by the country’s most well known fashion designers as the highlight of its opening.
The bridal fair highlighted Cebu’s top wedding suppliers and services making it easier for couples to plan their own special day. The fair opened with celebrity cake designer Penk Ching of The Pastry Bin, discussing decorative cake trends. After Ching’s discussion on beautiful wedding cakes and how to go about the planning of a wedding, the highlight of the fair began; the runway show featuring wedding pieces had the audience gasping and staring
in complete admiration.
Elegance, simplicity and class took hold of the runway as the models looked beautiful in creations meant to show brides as graceful queens clad in white, and grooms as handsome kings ready to save the day.
The wedding pieces strutted along the runway were creations of renowned Manila designers Rajo Laurel, Randy Ortiz and Francis Libiran, together with Cebu’s top fashion designers: Philip Rodriguez, Jun Escario, Philipp Tampus, Edwin Ao, Mel Maria, Valerie Alvez, Protacio Empaces, Dino Lloren, Mary Ty, Lord Maturan, Rei Escario, Orville Biongcog and Dexter Alazas.
In addition, the winners of Radisson Blu’s competition on the best proposal were announced during the event, and the “Your Dream Wedding On Us” winners were Raul Arradaza and Candice Rosales. The new Blu couple were awarded with gifts for their special day: A complimentary wedding reception including venue, food and beverage for 100 persons, P100,000 worth of DiaGold wedding bands, and a nuptial photo shoot by Rock Paper Scissors Photography.
