CHINA-BASED HOSPITAL SETS UP 2ND CLINIC IN CEBU

At least 100 people turned up for the medical symposium organized by St. Stamford MCHG satellite consultation office in Cebu The hospital, which has 10 satellite offices in Southeast Asian countries, offers stateof-the-art treatment for cancer patients

St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou established its second satellite consultation office in Cebu City last June 20.

The Cebu consultation office recently organized a medical symposium, with Cebu City Vice Mayor Edgardo Labella and Chief Consul Qin Xian Dong of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Cebu as special guests.

Jiechao Xu, general manager of Manila Office, also graced the event, where he delivered the welcome remarks before the 100 participants.

Labella, on the other hand, welcomed the hospital for establishing a consultation clinic in the city.

The mission of establishing a consultation office in Cebu City is to provide advanced cancer treat- ments to achieve quality healthcare, as well as to bring hope to all cancer patients in Cebu.

It would also be more convenient for Cebuano cancer patients to undergo treatment in China as Cebu will soon have direct flights to Guangzhou.

Professor Peng Xiaochi, St. Stamford MCHG’s chief physician and department of oncology director, explained the services that the hospital are offering. These include nano-knife treatment, 3D printing template on particle seed implantation, intra-arterial interventional, Argon Helium Cryotherapy, among others.

A Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma patient who was successfully treated at the hospital since 2014 also attended the symposium and shared her experience at the hospital. She said that after a series of treatments, she is now a cancer-free and she rebuild her confidence and positive outlook in life.

After the symposium, Professor Xiaochi said that he and the multidisplinary team will do their best to treat and help cancer patients.

St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou was established since 2005. Since its joint partnership with the Singapore Perennial Group in 2015, the hospital became China’s first joint venture American JCI certified hospital.

The hospital has 10 satellite offices across Southeast Asian countries, such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, and Malaysia.
