Lights help make anything bright. But if they’re anything like Ayala Center Cebu’s “Symphony of Lights,” they don’t just brighten up the huge area— they help complete the aura of the Christmas Season. With all the dancing lights twinkling to the season’s carols engulfing half of The Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu last Dec. 1, one can’t help but wish to look forward to Christmas Day itself.

Now on its third year, “Symphony of Lights” gathered a crowd of fresh spectators who were new to the magical lights show. Executives from Ayala Center Cebu, Sun Life Financial and Security Bank were also present to lead the opening.

A crowd of shoppers huddled by the stairs or sat under the trees aglow as they all listened to the performances of artists Jimmy Marquez who serenaded the mall- goers with Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes,” Anna Fegi- Brown who sang “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire” and award- winning singer Bituin Escalante who sang her hit song “Kung Ako Na Lang Sana.”

Toward the end, the Filipino singers made great music together with Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” demanding everybody present at the show to dance and sing with them. For the entire night, the lights at The Terraces followed the beat of the songs.

The “Symphony of Lights” will continue to wow everyone every day until Jan. 21, 2018. The show runs from 6 to 9 p. m. with 30- minute intervals.
