ZAMBOANGA / SHIP CATCHES FIRE
A wooden-hulled cargo vessel was destroyed by fire in Tawi-Tawi. M/L Aizalyn III was anchored at the Chinese pier when it caught fire, the origin of which has yet to be determined, at about 1 p.m. Wednesday, said Petty Officer 3 Marwayne Sanaani, Bongao Coast Guard station officer-in- charge. Bureau of Fire Protection personnel prevented the blaze from spreading to other wooden-hulled vessels docked at the pier. The cargo vessel is being used to transport basic commodities from Zamboanga City to the 11 island-municipalities in Tawi-Tawi.
