Re-enactment of the baptism of Queen Juana & Rajah Humabon
The re-enactment of the baptism of Queen Juana and Rajah Humabon is something that is highly anticipated and watched by many devotees. It happens right after the Water Procession and is an excellent way to really experience the essence of Sinulog, the celebration and the clear passion and devotion Cebuanos have for the Sr. Sto. Niño. Head over to the Basilica del Sto. Niño before 9 a.m. to witness this.
Sinulog parties
Great music and good times are some things that Cebuanos have gotten down to a tee. So if that’s the kind of scene one is craving for, MO2 Entertainment Complex’s Sinulog Party is perfect. There’s no admission fee, though a government-issued ID is needed as minors are not allowed to enter. Who’s part of the lineup? Daiana Menezes, Urbandub and Franco. It’s all about the good times and headbanging music here! Gates open at 6 p.m.
Sinulog fireworks competition
SM City Cebu’s Sinulog Fireworks Competition draws a crowd each year and it’s no surprise really. The sky is lit up with lights, colors, the air is filled with music and it’s a crowd pleaser indeed. The competition starts at 7 p.m. but arrive there super early to get a good viewing spot as it does get crowded.
