KATON Tutorial Program
The KA•T•ON (derived from “kaon,” to eat + “tuon,” to study) Barangay Junior Public High School Tutorial Program with Entrepreneurship Exposure has partnered with Barangay Centro in Mandaue City. A resident in the area finds the program a very productive way for her child to spend Saturday mornings with access to free tutorials and homework assistance on Wednesdays.
For the 20 pioneering beneficiaries headed by the Barangay Impact Visayas Management and Support Services Corp., the program was designed to address the alarming 57 percent dropout rate nationwide by motivating public high school students to #stayinschool.
At the Parents and Beneficiaries Orientation, chief executive officer Monica Alipe-Enriquez shared some important details with regard to the program’s objectives and mechanics, and also assured the parents that their children will be assisted by Impact Certified Volunteer Tutors in both English and Math together with values of respect, punctuality, neatness as well as gratitude.
If you share the same vision to help children stay in school, you may volunteer as a tutor for the KA•T•ON Barangay Junior Public High School Tutorial Program with Entrepreneurship Exposure. The Barangay Impact Management believes that creating a positive ripple effect in the society can only be achieved when working together as a team.
