HOW TRUMP MESSAGE DIFFERED FROM OBAMA MESSAGE AFTER MASS SHOOTING: DONALD DIDN’T MENTION GUNS.

During Obama’s term, he made 14 speeches after 14 mass killings. In his responses he pushed for gun-safety laws among the measures the U.S. must take. Trump, in the wake of the latest mass killings in Parkland, Florida blamed mentally unhinged people.

One of the 10 most deadly mass shootings in modern U.S. history occurred last Wednesday at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

Nikolas Cruz used an automatic rifle (AR-15) in firing into five classrooms and shooting in the hallways and the on the school grounds. At least 15 were wounded.

Cruz was a loner who worked at a dollar store, joined the school’s ROTC program and posted weapons of photos on Instagram.

A day after the incident, President Trump called the shooter “mentally disturbed,” saying it was important to “report such instances to authoritie­s, again and again.” He didn’t mention guns.

In contrast, former president Obama said “we can’t say honestly that we are doing enough to keep (our kids) safety from harm, including long-overdue common-sense gun safety laws that most Americans want, then we have to change.”
