Salpon (from “salida” and “cell phone”) is a smartphone short film competition recently initiated by the University of San Carlos Cebuano Studies Center (CSC).

The theme promotes appreciation of local arts and culture as well as encourages the youth to develop their craft at storytelling with basic filmmaking.

It is open to individual entries that must be original, shot exclusively with a smartphone and must not have been published before this competition.
