- CASSANDRA C. POCULAN / WRITER

For the last 20 years, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino has hosted numerous events from small ones to the grandest. As it celebrates two decades of unparalleled service in the hospitality industry, it marks this milestone with a series of activities throughout the year. Below is a list of what everyone should look forward to in the months to come.

IRON CHEF. This will showcase the culinary expertise of the hotel’s chefs, who come from different parts of the globe— Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Italy and the Philippines. They will be joined by guest chefs Roland and Jackie Laudico, making for one exciting event.

TOP ACCOUNTS PARTY. To be held in May, this is in recognition of the hotel’s top accounts who have contributed a huge chunk to its sales and revenue.

4TH OF JULY. In celebration of Filipino-American Friendship Day, food offerings and fun-packed programs abound.

PINK OCTOBER. This is an annual initiative of Waterfront Cebu in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

WEDDINGS AT THE WATERFRONT. Its annual wedding expo is taken to a whole new level this year with the presence of world- class Filipino designers Cary Santiago and Michael Cinco, among many others. This will be Michael Cinco’s first ever fashion show in the Philippines, so this is one weekend one should not dare miss.

A FESTIVE CHRISTMAS. The halls of the hotel will be decked out once again in true Christmas spirit, with the giant tree at the lobby and the Christmas village as highlights. A month- long merry- making is in order.

NEW YEAR’S EVE. Counting down to the new year is always done in style at Waterfront, complete with food, drinks and a fireworks display.

WATERFRONT GIVES BACK. The hotel has also lined up selected corporate social responsibility initiatives, the beneficiaries and partners of which will be announced soon.
