WAR VS. DRUGS 6 nabbed in city, town operations

Six suspected drug personalit­ies were caught in a series of anti-illegal drug operations in the towns of Consolacio­n and Liloan in the past days.

Operatives seized 23 packs of white crystals believed to be shabu worth more than P180,000, a Dangerous Drugs Board value.

In Consolacio­n, Jovanie Dumanog, 19; John Bendulo, 26; Pempem Dungog, 35; and Linsey Balverde Banzon, 34, were arrested in a series of operations that started at 11 p.m. Tuesday and ended at 2:35 a.m. Wednesday.

Consolacio­n Police Chief Gerard Ace Pelare said 14 small packs of “shabu” were seized from the suspects during the drug busts in the villages of Cansaga and Tugbongan.

At 10 p.m. Tuesday, John Dexter Aventurado Sanchez, 28, was caught in Sitio Landing, Barangay Catarman, Liloan.

The suspect yielded 15 grams of “shabu” worth P177,000 to the team supervised by Liloan Police Chief Inspector Randy Korret.

At 1:50 a.m. on the same day, Ryan Baticulon Wagas was captured by the team led by Insp. Mikhail Mallorca in Sitio Tiltilon, Barangay Jubay, Liloan. Seized from him were six small packs of “shabu” worth P8,496.

Suspects will be facing complaints for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehens­ive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
