3 men shot dead by men on bike

Three men were shot dead by motorcycle-riding assailants last night in Sitio Soong, Barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City.

Ariel Berdon, Lapu-Lapu City Public Informatio­n Officer, said the alarm was received by the police station 2 at 7:20 p.m.

Chief Insp. Wayne Magbanua, chief of Lapu-Lapu Police Station 2, said the three victims were not yet identified, but all of them had guns.

But in a radio dySS report, one victim of the victims was identified as Reno Egos, 27, a resident of Barangay Looc, Lapu-Lapu City.

He was just released from the Lapu-Lapu City Jail at 5:20 p.m. yesterday for illegal drugs and violation of the Comelec gun ban.

Police found a .45 pistol from Egos.

The other two victims, who were not yet identified, also had .45 pistol and a .38 revolver.

Magbanua said they cannot say yet if the victims were gunfor-hire persons.

In the dySS report, an official of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office-Homicide Section said that the motorcycle used by the victims was registered to one named Ronan Caadlaon of Tabok, Lamac, Barangay Yati, Liloan.

In the same report, several parts intended for guns were found inside the bag of one of the victims.

In the initial informatio­n, more than 20 empty shells of .9mm and .45 pistol were retrieved from the crime scene.

According to Homicide police, they have yet to find identifica­tion cards in the victims’ possession.

The victims were reportedly no longer responsive when the medical rescue team arrived./

One of the victims had just been released from jail when killed.
