PALACE MAY CONSIDER EX-MRT EXEC'S WORD

- /

The testimony of former Metro Rail Transit (MRT) general manager Al Vitangcol III may count as additional evidence of irregularities in th P3.8-billion deal for the system’s maintenance, Malacañang said Thursday. Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque Jr. said that Vitangcol was not one of two whistleblowers who had tipped him off about the corruption in the MRT-Line 3. Vitangcol is facing two counts of graft for an allegedly anomalous maintenance contract with Philippines Trans Rail Management and Services in 2012.
