Sony launches new camera
Sony has introduced to the public its newest camera, the all new a7 III, inside SM City Cebu’s Trade Hall. Sony’s a7 III is the newest addition to its full-frame mirrorless camera line-up. The camera appears quite small but is packed with all the necessary parts to aid one in taking the perfect picture.
“Innovation is Sony’s key driving force in developing new cameras to cater to the needs of the photographers,” said Sunao Sakata, sales director of Sony Philippines.
“Different full-frame cameras attend to the specific needs, but with the introduction of the a7 iii, almost anything is possible. Today we are all changing the new standard of full frame in photography. An all-around with high standard specifications, the a7 iii full-frame mirrorless is everything you need. We want to extend the full-frame market to this high standard camera to also encourage step-up users to switch from a basic DSLR camera to a full-frame system,” said Sakata.
This is Sony’s “first time to launch a camera in Cebu,” according to JV Ruanto, marketing officer, Digital Imaging Sony Philippines Inc.
Ruanto also added that the camera is a fusion of all the other models previously released, making the photography experience compact and light with the new model.
One of the more notable features of the a7 iii is its ability to focus on the eyes regardless of the quality of natural light available and the distance of the camera from the subject. When zoomed in, the camera displays clear and focused eyes and other details.
The launching was held together with various workshops by well-known photographers in different fields namely Jerome Ascano, sports photographer, and Pilar Trigo Bonin, motion and wedding photographer. Ascano showed the capabilities of the camera by taking photos of an ongoing boxing challenge held inside the mall’s Trade Hall. Bonin held a wedding photoshoot inside the venue with a makeshift studio to show the capabilities of the camera in low light.
