Pianist Rudolf Golez started his career at age four, and by 11 years, he already performed for then first lady Imelda Marcos at the Coconut Palace. At age 13, he studied at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City. Being the sole prize winner at the First Asean Chopin International Piano Competition, Rudolf is one of the country’s young piano virtuosi today.

In February 2009, Iqui won first prize at the UST Conservatory of Music “Komposisyong Kwerdas.” She was also a member of the award-winning guitar ensemble Triple Fret.

Balletcenter-Cebu, Marco Polo Plaza Cebu and Arts Council of Cebu recently presented “Summer Spectacular 2018” featuring students aged three onward in a contemporary based ballet entitled “Colors of Life” created by the center’s artistic director Gregory Aaron.

Senior teachers Cecille Nolasco and Pep Declaro arranged the libretto which was a charming story of a princess who encounters villagers and the elements of water, wind, fire and earth. Additionally on the program was the Grand Pas de Deux from “The Nutcracker.”

A fitting end to the lively numbers was Aaron’s “Sing Sing Sing,” a big band era jazzy ballet fun for the family!
