Bato, Samboan to mark 127th feast day, sets prayer caravan
The Our Lady of Consolation Parish in Bato, Samboan, Cebu will celebrate its 127th feast day on Sept. 3.
Fr. Agustin “Blurred” Abella, parish priest, said that a “Pangaliya sa Parada” or prayer caravan has been set on Aug. 25 before the start of the nine-day novena masses for this year’s fiesta celebration.
Abella said that the caravan has two purposes.
First, it is the parishioners’ way of showing their gratitude for another year to celebrate with God.
Second, it is intended to celebrate the graces received and to be received from God through the intercession of the blessed Mother.
The assembly time is 7 a.m. The caravan is expected to start at 8 a.m.
From the church in Barangay San Sebastian, participants and devotees will march to Barangay Mainit, Santander and then proceed to the neighboring Ginatilan town.
The parish priest invites all the parishioners, devotees and guests to participate in the prayer caravan.
