LABELLA, BARUG NOD

-

May the consent of Labella and other Barug leaders be assumed since Rama’s announcement was his alone? Maybe, given the fact that they must be willing to pay the cost of not breaking up the party. Mike’s being VM candidate is the price.

Apparently, Rama has given up the mayor’s slot despite his earlier repeated promises to seek it in a return match against Mayor Tomas Osmeña. On Feb. 23, he said he’d run for mayor; on May 26, he said he wouldn’t budge as he wanted to prove that he really won the 2016 election; on July 1, he said Labella could be persuaded to run for vice mayor.

Most of the time, though, he conceded that Barug must present only one bet for mayor if it would’ve a fighting chance against Osmeña.
