The Power Development Center (Power Dev) offers a continuing professional development (CPD) seminar and workshop today from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Golden Peak Hotel Convention Hall on Escario St., Cebu City.
Seven CPD units have already applied for accreditation.
Renowned Filipino nurse and theorist Rozzano C. Locsin will be the main speaker and facilitator. Locsin is a professor of nursing at Tokushima University in Japan where when he is now based. He is also a professor emeritus of the Atlantic University in the US and visiting professor of the following: St. Paul University and Silliman University in the Philippines, Prince of Songla University in Thailand and Mbarra University of Science and Technology in Uganda. His recent research paper on Technological Competency as Caring in Nursing was presented in a number of fora in the US and Japan.
The seminar and lecture aims to answer the question: “Can Humanoid Robot Nurses Replace Human Nurses?”
It is actually possible because technology has made quantum leaps. But can robot technology give compassionate care and the warmth of the human, tender loving touch?
