Gothong employees help ‘world cleanup’

Gothong Shipping Group of Companies, headed by the chief operating officer Calvin Gothong, joined the World Cleanup Day last Sept. 22. It was initially scheduled on Sept. 15 but was moved to Sept. 22 because of Typhoon Ompong. World Cleanup Day is a global social action program aimed at combating the global solid waste problem, including the problem of marine debris.

“Man is the prime cause of destruction of our world and only man can save it,” said Gothong. “This is one of our social responsibility, to help rebuild our world through collaborative effort.”
