PSC HANDS OVER P2M FOR PROVINCE ATHLETES’ TRAINING

Cebu Provincial Sports Commission Executive Director Ramil Abing said they have to use up the budget to earn an increase next year

The Cebu Province received a P2-million check from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) through Commission­er Mon Fernandez yesterday.

Ramil Abing, Cebu Provincial Sports Commission (CPSC) executive director, said the money will be used for the equipment and training of provincial athletes.

Abing said they will try to sustain and maintain the training of the province’s athletes for other upcoming sports activities.

“We basically try to maintain and sustain our training for them. Right now we are into futsal and football for the incoming training this month in Balamban,” said Abing.

The CPSC executive director said they will be having an entry for the dance sports competitio­n.

“I think we’ll join the dance sports (competitio­n) since we have athletes from Medellin, which has good training,” he said.

Abing told reporters that the province will also support athletes for the upcoming Provincial Meet in Carmen, Cebu.

“We focus on the distributi­on of the equipment. We’ll exhaust the budget so that we’ll have an increase next year,” Abing said.
