Avery memorable event celebrated at the Casino Español de Cebu by the Amigos de España, was the dos “ocasiones”: birthday of presidenta emeritus Amparito Llamas-Lhuillier and the “Vaya con Dios” trip to Spain of Amigos founder Don Jaime Picornell.
Attendance was at an alltime high, with members and guests greeting each other with “besos” and “abrazos.” Highlight of course, was the blowing of the birthday candles by the “festejada” glamorous Amparito, smart in a white, long-sleeved blouse, blowing “muchas gracias” to all.
What was on the menu? Casino general manager May Ocaba outdid herself in the preparation and presentation of a “Comida Español especial” to the delight of everyone.
In closing, Don Jaime P., who will spend most of the time in his native Zaragoza, was wished “Hasta la Vista.”
