Ateneo Cebu hosts JAM 18

The annual Jesuit Athletic Meet ( JAM) is all set and Cebu will be this year’s host.

“We are excited and raring to host the JAM 2018 with our Ateneo Hearter hospitalit­y. The JAM will be more than just sports. It will be a memorable experience for all,” JAM event manager Vinnie Tan said in a statement.

A total of 10 schools and around 1,000 student-athletes will be competing in 10 different sports in the JAM 2018 on Oct. 25 to 30 at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC).

The Jesuit schools that’ll be competing in the tournament are host SHS-AdC, Ateneo de Manila University, Xavier School San Juan, Xavier School Nuvali, Ateneo de Naga University, Ateneo de Iloilo, Ateneo de Davao, Ateneo de Zamboanga, Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan and Loyola College of Culion.

The sports that the schools will be competing in are basketball, volleyball (boys and girls), football, futsal (girls), athletics (boys and girls), table tennis (boys and girls), chess (boys and girls), lawn tennis (boys and girls), swimming (boys and girls) and badminton (boys and girls).

Expected to suit up in the basketball tournament is 16-year-old 7’1” phenom Kai Sotto, who’ll be making his second visit to Cebu. /
