Three suspects were killed in a drug bust operation in Barangay Maghaway, Talisay City Saturday, Nov. 24.

They reportedly fought back and were therefore shot by operatives.

Killed were Susano Labrador, Vincent Ceballos, and Warlito Tecson.

Their alleged leader Ariel “Ladoy” Olivar escaped with companion Jackson Segundino, who is reportedly a hitman.

The operation, which took place at 3:05 p.m., was a joint effort of the Talisay City Police, the Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG) 7, Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) 7, and the Regional Public Safety Batallion (RMFB) 7.

The suspects reportedly noticed that the ones they were transacting with were policemen, and thus fired shots, causing an exchange of gunfire.

As of press time, it was not known yet on who handed in the drugs and which among the three dead suspects who first fired his gun.

The police were still doing an inventory of the seized drugs.

A hot pursuit on Olivar and Segundino continues.

Talisay Police Chief Marlu Conag said the suspects were only recently known as the top 2 drug suppliers in Talisay City.

They were also involved in a number of crimes.

Labrador had been tagged to two murder cases, one including the killing of a city councilor.

He had been known to operate an illegal gambling business in Barangay Maghaway and the people feared him.

Ceballos was reportedly the one who delivered the drugs and bullied people in the barangay.

Tecson likewise sold drugs and was reported by his own family as a security threat.

Oliva was supposedly the boss of a certain Cheryl, from whom P10 million in illegal drugs were seized last month.

The suspects allegedly took on the services of hired guns to kill policemen in Talisay City.

Segundino reportedly was a hitman and had two warrants of arrest for murder.

The recent killing happened in less than 24 hours since another three persons were also killed in Lawaan 3, Talisay City Friday evening, Nov. 23.

The three were tagged in the killing of a policeman in the city.
