Neda leads economic literacy celebration
The National Economic and Development Authority (Neda) 7 kicked off the week-long national celebration of the 2018 Economic and Financial Literacy Week (EFLW) with a seminar on financial literacy for retiring government employees and other stakeholders in Central Visayas last Nov. 5.
Undersecretary Adoracion Navarro of the Neda Regional Development Office served as keynote speaker. She presented an overview of the National ID System and the status of its implementation. This year’s EFLW carried the theme “National Identification for Greater Economic and Financial Inclusion: Sa Pag-angat ng Ekonomiya at Pinansya: Lahat Makakasali, Kapag May Pambansang ID.”
Retiring employees from different regional line agencies based in the Government Center in Cebu City and other stakeholders listened to presentations on investment instruments from financial institutions such as Unicapital Securities Inc., Pru-Life UK, Sun Life Financial, PhilAm Asset Management Inc. and Manulife Cebu. There were also booths inside the venue where participants lodged their applications and made inquiries.
The EFLW activity was held in collaboration with the the Association of Regional Executives of National Agencies 7 as a compassion project to celebrate the 45th founding anniversary of the Career Executive Service this month.
