CIC ‘jubilarians’ hold annual homecoming
The Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion (CIC) Alumni will hold their annual homecoming on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 2. Registration starts at 1 p.m. The event will start with a mass at the auditorium at 3 p.m. The traditional “churros con chocolate merienda,” to be hosted by the Daughters of Charity (DC) community, will follow.
The program will officially start at 4:30 p.m. with presentation numbers from each jubilarian class: the Pearl, Ruby, Coral, Sapphire, Emerald, Gold and the host jubilarians, the Silver class of 1993. It will surely be an evening of fun reconnection and reminiscing.
This year’s theme is “All that Glitters! Sparkle… Shimmer… Shine…”
This year, the CIC Alumni Board is honoring lawyer Anika Apalisok Fernandez as the 2018 Most Outstanding CIC Alumna. Fernandez currently works as an attaché and administrative officer in a permanent mission of the Philippines to the United Nations based in New York. She is also a recipient of the Gawad Mabini award with the rank of Kasugo, an award given to those who have rendered distinguished service and promoted the interest of the Philippines at home and abroad, conferred by former president Benigno Aquino III.
CIC Homecoming tickets are at P600 each and will cover dinner and a chance to win raffle prizes. Tickets are now available via the Class Jubilarians as well as at the entrance gate on the day of the event.
