The Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) will establish two septage treatment facilities (STFs) following the signing of a tripartite memorandum of agreement with the Cebu Provincial Government and the Cebu City Government.

The document signing for the Septage Management Program of Metro Cebu between the MCWD and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica) was held on Friday, Jan. 11, in the Dignitaries Hall at the Capitol.

The signing was led by MCWD general manager Jose Eusebio Singson Jr. and Hiromichi Murakami, senior deputy director general of Global Environmental Department of Jica.
