PINOYS DON’T WANT ‘EM DEAD

Say that again. Officials waging the war on illegal drugs may not be listening.

-

A Social Weather Stations survey, released Friday (Feb. 16), says 95% of Filipinos believe those suspected of a crime involving illegal drugs must be kept alive.

Of the 95%, 77% think it is “very important” that they be not killed and 87% think it is “important.” Only 18% think it is “somewhat important.”

The survey was conducted last Dec. 16-19. In Manila and the Visayas, it was 97% each; and in Mindanao, 96.9%; in Balance Manila, 87%. National leaders directing the campaign against illegal drugs are not listening to public opinion or ignoring it.
