Hearters’ Benefit Concert with Jose Mari Chan this March
The Valentine season extends up to March 2 at Sacred Heart School-Hijas de Jesus (SHS-HDJ) as the Parents’ Association, in cooperation with the Sacred Heart School-Hijas de Jesus Foundation, stages “A Love to Last a Lifetime: A Hearters’ Benefit Concert” featuring singer-songwriter Jose Mari Chan.
Chan is a multi-awarded musician who is considered as the Father of Philippine Christmas Music with his famous song “Christmas in our Hearts” and several other original Christmas singles. He also has his OPM (Original Pinoy Music) hits like the timeless love song “Please Be Careful with my Heart.”
In the concert, talented students of SHS-HDJ will be performing alongside Chan in the one and a half hour concert at the Henry Sy, Sr. Auditorium at SHS-HDJ.
“Through this fundraising event, we hope to give our kids an avenue for them to showcase their music and their talents in general. It will also be a great time for families to get together and bond,” says Shieny Yu, president of the SHS-HDJ Parents’ Association.
Yu added, “For the school, this is the first concert in more than 20 years and it will be be held at the newly-renovated auditorium with state-of-the-art lights and sound system, so the whole community is very excited about it.” The proceeds of the concert will be used to help improve the school’s facilities.
Vic Enterprises and Cebu Parklane International Hotel are the presentors and main sponsors of the concert.
