LTO’s E-Patrol bus now in Tuburan

-

THE E-Patrol bus of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) 7 served 3,370 persons in Cebu and Bohol from Feb. 18 until March 15.

Based on records shown by LTO 7 Director Victor Caindec, transactions include the processing of student permits, renewal of expired driver’s licenses and registration of motorcycles.

The E-Patrol bus has a computer that is linked to the main data banks at the LTO 7 headquarters in Cebu City, allowing it to print non-plastic licenses.

In Bohol, LTO 7 served the local government units of Panglao, Dauis, Garcia-Hernandez, Jagna and Valencia.

The E-Patrol bus served the residents of Carcar City, Sibonga, Argao, Dalaguete, Alcoy, Boljoon, Oslob, Santander, Samboan, Ginatilan, Malabuyoc, Alegria, Badian, Moalboal, Alcantara, Ronda and Dumanjug.

Caindec said the bus has transferred to Tuburan, where it will stay until Friday, March 22.

On Monday, March 25, the bus will go to Santa Fe town in Bantayan Island, northern Cebu.

LTO 7 personnel will return to areas that the E-Patrol bus has visited to conduct driving seminars with the help of bikers clubs.

Those who got student permits can attend the seminars that will tackle safety driving. They can get a regular driver’s license if they complete the seminar and pass the test.

Caindec said those who were issued a paper license can visit the LTO 7 offsite printing office in SM Seaside City and Robinsons Galleria in Cebu City to obtain a plastic driver’s license. /
