PH delegation earns US$3.02 M in Ambiente show
THE Philippine country pavilion made waves in Ambiente, the world’s number one trade fair for products associated with dining, giving and living.
The delegation earned US$3.02 million achieving 120 percent of its initial target of US$2.5 million.
The fair welcomed 136,000 trade visitors from 166 countries, with the top 10 visitor nations outside Germany being Italy, China, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the United States, Spain, Switzerland, Russia and South Korea.
Held in Messe Frankfurt in Germany, Ambiente continues to be the meeting point for buyers and suppliers from all parts of the world, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in a statement said.
The 24 Philippine delegates entertained thousands of buyers who flocked to the event. Fair visitors were all praises to the Philippine pavilion as they claim that it is always the best among the Association of Southeast Asian Nations exhibitors.
The Philippine presentation also renewed the interest of foreign buyers who regularly visited Manila Fame in the past for their sourcing needs. According to these former buyers of Manila Fame, they are eyeing a trip back to the country to attend the next edition of the Philippine’s premiere lifestyle and design event.
These achievements prove that the country’s efforts to boost our exports initiative are effectively capturing not only the lucrative German market, but the rest of the European Union such as the Netherlands, France, the United Kingdom, Denmark and Italy. The Ambiente participation, likewise, captured buyers outside Europe as a big number of companies from the USA visited the Philippine pavilion as well.
