Landers Superstore, NVC partner to feed undernourished children

-

TO MAKE holidays memorable for undernourished kids, Landers Superstore has partnered with the Negrense Volunteers for Change (NVC) Foundation.

A Bacolod-based non-stock and non-profit organization, NVC has a mission to fight hunger and poverty by providing proper nutrition to underprivileged children as well as sustainable livelihood opportunities to their families.

NVC’s biggest project to date is the Mingo Nutrition Program, which aims to help children from impoverished families build strong bodies and sharp minds. Mingo is a nutritious, instant, complementary food made of rice, mongo (mung beans) and malunggay (moringga).

The foundation has already served 9,013,076 Mingo meals as of September 2019 and it targets to serve 10 million meals by January 2020.

To help NVC achieve its goal and support its 10 Million Mingo Meals Nutrition Program, Landers Superstore will donate to the foundation P5 for every eco-bag purchased in-store from Nov. 6, 2019 to Dec. 31, 2019.
