Dagayloan faces Parpiev in Russia

-

FILIPINO veteran Alphoe Dagayloan returns to Russia and faces Russian warrior Zafar Parpiev at the KRK Uralets in Ekaterinburg on May 7.

The 29-year-old Dagayloan made his first trip to Russia in 2018 and took on unbeaten Kazakh upstart Madiyar Zhanuzak. He stopped Zhanuzak in eight rounds.

Dagayloan only fought once since the Covid-19 broke out in 2020. He dropped a unanimous decision to World Boxing Council (WBC) No. 35 rated flyweight Bienvenido Ligas.

The 32-year-old Parpiev is coming off a fourth round stoppage over Turat Osmonov on Dec. 5, 2020 in Ekaterinburg.

Parpiev won over Dagayloan’s countrymen Jake Bornea, who he beat by unanimous decision in 2018, and Melmark Dignos, who he beat by split decision.

Dagayloan is 14-4-6 with five knockouts, while Parpiev, a decorated Russian amateur, is 9-2 with two knockouts.
