3 PERSONS ‘OFFER’ VICTORIES TO ELECTION CANDIDATES

Three individuals allegedly offered “victories” to 2022 election candidates, claiming they have accessed the Smartmatic system, the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) said on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. However, these persons were arrested by the police. They are identified as Joel Adajar Ilagan, alias Borger; Adrian de Jesus Martinez, alias Admin X; and Jeffrey Cruz Limpiado, alias Brake/Vanguard/Universe/LRR, members of a notorious hackers group named “XSOX Group.” They were arrested in separate entrapment operations in Imus, Cavite and Sta. Rosa, Laguna last April 23. Limpiado, the leader of the group, received the P10 million boodle money during the operation. The group was asking for P60 million in order to influence or change the vote results for a certain candidate.
