PRESIDENTIAL candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio again topped the latest poll fielded by the Octa Research group.

In a survey conducted from April 22 to 25 covering 2,400 respondents, 58 percent said they would vote for Marcos, while 25 percent preferred his top rival, Vice President Leni Robredo.

Marcos lost to Robredo during the 2016 national elections’ race for vice president.

Taking the third spot was Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso with eight percent, followed by Senators Emmanuel Pacquiao and Panfilo

Lacson with five and two percent, respectively.

In the vice presidential race, Duterte-Carpio led with 56 percent, although her score decreased by one percent from results of a previous survey conducted by the group.

Following Duterte-Carpio in the survey were Senate President Vicente Sotto III with 22 percent and Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan with 16 percent.

The Octa survey also showed the following senatorial candidates emerging on top of the race: Raffy Tulfo, Mark Villar, Loren Legarda, Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri, Francis “Chiz” Escudero, Robin Padilla, Alan Peter Cayetano, Win Gatchalian, Joel Villanueva, Jinggoy Estrada, JV Ejercito, Risa Hontiveros and Jejomar Binay.
