Brownian Record smashes Reds by 96 points in MCBL Season 6

THE Brownian Record made quite the impression in its debut in the Metro Cebu Basketball League Season 6 as it destroyed the Reds by a whopping 96 points, 166-72, in their game on May 8 at the Benedicto College gym.

Wilmer Paloma led the onslaught for Brownian Record as he tallied 26 points, three rebounds and two steals.

In other games, Tayting’s Pastries also debuted in style, as it crushed the Shearwater Crusaders, 108-53. Jherjacz Jaca shone in that match as he scored 27 points to go with eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, the RBH Constructi­on nipped Mag’s Lechon Belly, 87-83. Clyde Alpes was the winning side’s leading man as he notched a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds.

The Tech Mahindra Tech Mighties emerged victorious over the CMC Gorillaz, 88-71, as Christian Sollano scored 17 points and hauled 10 rebounds to go with four steals.

The Unknowns also picked up a 66-62 win over the Phenom Drakes with Vincent Giangan putting up 12 points and five boards. Finally, the Wagas Ukulele Golden Tigers outlasted the Fine Droplets, 83-80. Ace Rondina was Wagas’ high-point man with 16 points along with five rebounds, four assists and a steal.

The MCBL is the brainchild of former University of San Carlos point guard, Jabby Bautista. It is supported by Brand 81, Court General, Wilson, Tigertek Sports and RAD Chameleon Apparel.
