Cebu City

Comelec data showed 614,453 of the 733,044 registered voters in Cebu City cast their votes last May 9.

This 83.82 percent voter turnout is higher than the 76.10 percent turnout in the 2019 midterms elections.

Among the 10 presidenti­ables, Marcos ranked first, garnering 344,876 or 57.87 percent of the votes.

He was followed by Vice President Robredo with 160,890 or 27 percent of the votes and Sen. Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao with 50,145 votes or 8.41 percent.

Among the nine vice presidenti­al bets, Duterte-Carpio ranked first with 382,498 or 64.80 percent of the votes canvassed. Sotto was second with 100,883 votes or 17.09 percent. Pangilinan was third with 84,248 votes or 14.28 percent.

The Marcos-Duterte tandem was endorsed by Mayor Michael Rama’s Partido Barug-PDP Laban, which also won big in the local polls.

Rama will enjoy a fresh term after receiving 239,656 votes or 40.85 percent of the votes.

Margot Osmeña, the mayoral candidate of Bando Osmeña Pundok Kauswagan, received only 202,446 votes or 34.50 percent, while Councilor David Tumulak received 141,225 votes or 24.07 percent of the total votes cast.

Rama’s running mate, Councilor Raymond Garcia, won as the city’s vice mayor after he got 283,235 or 52.21 percent of the votes cast.

Lapu-Lapu City

In the partial and unofficial vote tally in Lapu-Lapu City, Marcos got 134,767 votes, while Robredo got 34,589 votes in the presidenti­al race.

Duterte-Carpio led the vice presidenti­al race with 154,033 votes against Pangilinan’s 17,372 votes.

Lapu-Lapu City has 245,395 registered voters and 217,085 voters or 88.46 percent cast their votes on election day.

The Marcos-Duterte tandem was endorsed by reelection­ist Mayor Junard Chan and the rest of Team Ahong, Team Libre that achieved a landslide victory in the same elections in the city. /
