SABR Solutions Inc.-2018 trounces Casa Mira-2021 in SHAABAA

THE SABR Solutions Inc.-2018 gutted it out to pull off a 78-70 win over the Casa Mira-2021 in Division C of the 25th Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) on Aug. 31 at the Magis Eagles Arena in Canduman, Mandaue City.

Playing with just seven players, 2018 dug deep and leaned on the shotmaking of Eroll Pastor, who had 26 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three assists to help his team improve to 3-1 in the standings.

Pastor was aided by Andre Chua who had a massive double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds to go with five assists and three steals. Joshua Mah added 15 points, six assists, four boards and two steals.

In the other Division C match, the MDP Customs Brokerage/Winzir-2013 walloped the RDAK Powersports-2020, 94-75, to improve to 3-2.

Rendell Senining flirted with a rare triple-double as he had 35 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists for 2013 to help the team improve to 3-2. Dawn Ochea also did a lot of damage with his 19 points, 19 rebounds, six steals and five assists, while Arc Gabrielle Araw-Araw added 18 points and five boards.

In Division B, the Starkwood Properties-2009 evened up their record at 3-3 with an easy 78-60 win over the Bizol-2005.

Kyle Valmoria led the way for 2009 with 26 points, seven rebounds, and four assists, while Niel Benedicto collected a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds. Joseph Roma had 12, all coming from beyond the arc.

The Casino Ethyl Alcohol-2010 also crushed the Marjaztin Glass Trading & Construction-2008, 87-75, for their second win in three games.

Jasper Diaz paced 2010 with 19 points, Justin dela Cruz added 14, while Kyle Wong, Gabe Branzuela, and Dellbert Tan had 10 apiece for the victorious side.
