DAVAO City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio will deliver her last State of the City Address (Soca) on June 11, before she steps down from office on June 30.

This is the third time the city mayor’s Soca was scheduled as the two previous dates were postponed, on September 25 and in November.

The initial schedule was postponed because she got sick that time. She was on her first trimester of pregnancy then.

Also, the November schedule was again deferred as she decided to come up with the Soca before her term ends.

The Soca will cover her accomplishments from Sep- tember 2011 to May 2013, she said in an earlier interview.

In a text message, Duterte-Carpio said they have already asked the Sangguniang Panlungsod regarding the date she intends to deliver her much-awaited Soca.

“June 11 mi nag request sa SP, wala pa sila’y confirmation,” Duterte-Carpio told Sun.Star Davao on Sunday.

In a separate interview, SP Secretary Charito Santos said the council members will do the confirmation.

She said it depends on the majority floor leader whether the SP will put the Soca on the table during the regular session this afternoon.

As of presstime, Councilor Tomas Monteverde IV, majority floor leader, has yet to reply to a text message sent by Sun.Star Davao, inquiring about the schedule of the Soca.

The mayor earlier said three pages of the four-page speech will highlight the achievements and accomplishments of all City Hall departments during the previous year.

She added that she will give each department the prerogative to choose what achievements they want to highlight for their respective areas.
